The April 19 Revolution in 1960 was the first civil revolution in our country that restored democracy against the March 15 corruptive election and the conspiracy of the Rhee Syng-man regime to extend power. Among the CNU students who took part in the revolution, 15 suffered serious injuries and 37 were taken into custody. After the revolution, CNU students announced the resolution for democratization and the professors of CNU colleges issued a statement supporting the democratization of universities.
