In October 1979, there was an incident in which the CNU Student Counseling and Guidance Office was set on fire. The office had been criticized as an academy monitoring and inspection agency and the incident represents students’ protest against the governmental inspection. About 20 people were arrested and detained due to this incident, and they were expelled and suspended from school.
